Basic Facts 2016

I have been practising my basic facts in class today. The basic facts goes from stage 2 up to stage 8. I tried to do stage 8 but I was struggling luckily my friend Pareata was helping me. I now realised that I still have a lot to learn.  This is my result for  doing this for the second time.  Not too bad but I want to get them all correct.  I will definitely do this again.

Writing T1 2016

We have been doing interesting things this week for writing. We have been doing narrative stories.

We have also learnt that there is more than one type of sentences starters and they are quite interesting and useful. You could start of your sentence with an Action beginning, Dialogue beginning, Sound beginning or a Setting beginning where you tell the readers where the story is taking place. All of these ways are important for Year 8's.

Speed Skills

Today's math, Room 7 learnt all about order of operations. Our whole class played a game called Speed skills to enhance our knowledge. If you wanted to learn more about order of operations you should try playing Speed Skills. It will challenge your sense of speed and will make you strive further. So if you want to improve your grades, I strongly recommend you playing this challenging game.
